Second Practice for the Air Show during Great Victory Parade in Moscow

MOSCOW, April 27 (RIA Novosti) - On Wednesday night, Muscovites had the opportunity to watch the second practice flight over Red Square conducted by Russian Air Force planes in preparation for VE-Day.

The aircraft passed several times over the center of the city.

On Tuesday, at 7:00 p.m., the first VE-Day parade practice flight was conducted.

“Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Air Force Colonel General Alexander Zelin supervised the practice,” Russian Air Force spokesperson Colonel Alexander Drobyshevsky said.

“Two planes, Su-27 and Su-25, flew over Red Square. Colonel Igor Tkachenko piloted the Su-27 fighter and Colonel Oleg Makovetsky piloted the Su-25 attack plane,” he said.

“A full-scale practice session will be conducted in the beginning of May and will involve more than 10 Su-27, MiG-29 and Su-25 planes from the 16th Air Army,” Drobyshevsky said.
