MOSCOW, April 11 (RIA Novosti) – Acting Kyrgyz President Kurmanbek Bakiyev is planning to attend the 60th anniversary celebrations of VE Day in Moscow May 9, Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Roza Otunbayeva said Monday.

“We hope the new Kyrgyz leader will arrive in Moscow on May 8. This is what we want,” she said at the press conference following talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

Lavrov affirmed the plan, adding “as you know, Kyrgyzstan is invited to the celebrations and the May 8 CIS summit in Moscow.”
