In Czechoslovakia to the south of the city of UZHOROD, our forces forced the enemy out of the town and important railroad junction of COP.
In Hungary, to the west of the city of SATU MARE, our forces continued an offensive to secure the following settlements: NYIR-PARASNJA, LAPOS, OR, JARMI, KANTORJANOSI, DERJ, GYULAJ, MARIAPOCS, POCS-PETRI, KOLLOSEMJEN, and the railroad station of MARIAPOCS.
Reconnaissance operations and local fighting were reported elsewhere on the front.
On October 28, our forces destroyed 88 German tanks on all fronts. The Soviet air and air defense forces downed 15 enemy aircraft.
