On March 23, the 3rd Belarussian Front’s troops fought to mop up the enemy at the Frisches Haff Bay coast in the vicinity of the town of Heiligenbeil. On March 22, the Front’s troops captured 1,600 prisoners.

The 2nd Belarussian Front’s troops, advancing the attack in the direction of Danzig, took the town of Zoppot and appeared at the coast of the bay of Danzig between Gdynia and Danzig, cutting the enemy into two parts, as well as took the settlements of Artschau, Gross Belkau, Loblau, Scheferei, Schmierau, Marienthal, Steinfliess, Stolzenfels, Grenzfliess, and Kolibken. On March 22, the Front’s troops captured 1,000 prisoners.

Northwest of Ratibor in Silesia, the Red Army fought to take the town of Jernau and the settlements of Heidersdorf, Lindendorf, Oppelsdorf, Riegersdorf, Wackenau, Kraschendorf, Schlegenberg, Badewitz, Neudorf, and Hohndorf. On March 22, the 1st Ukrainian Front’s troops captured more than 1,600 prisoners.

156 German tanks were damaged and destroyed and 149 aircraft were downed on all the fronts on March 22.
