On March 21, southwest of Kцnigsberg, the 3rd Belarussian Front forces continued to destroy the East Prussian enemy grouping and, approaching the Frisches Haff Bay coast, took the settlements of Bolbitten, Stuthenen, Newecken, Grunau, Radau and Alt Passarge. According to additional information, in the battle for the town of Braunsberg, the Red Army captured 204 tanks, 25 armored personnel carriers, 109 mortars, 204 machineguns, 1,050 wheeled vehicles, 5 steam engines, 633 railroad cars and 17 depots.

On the Danzig approach, the advancing Soviet forces took the settlements of Muhlbanz, Kohling, Kladau, Jetau, Saalau, Klein Belkau, Nieder Prangenau, Bessau and Gross Katz, capturing over 600 prisoners there on March 20.

In the vicinity of Breslau, the Red Army carried on mopping up the enemy encircled in the city.

On March 20, 176 enemy tanks and self-propelled guns were damaged and destroyed and 69 German aircraft were downed.
