On January 30, in East Prussia, our forces, continuing their successful offensive, secured the towns of Bischofstein and Wartenburg, and over 150 other settlements, including Muhlsen, Heutenen, Seepappen, Metgeten (5 kilometers to the west of Konigsberg), Heide, Waldburg (8 kilometers to the southwest of Konigsberg), Kobbelbude, Pakerau, Dorf Leunenburg, Falkenau, Gross Schwansfeld, Troutenau, Leginen, Kabinen, Bredinken, Gross Ramsau, Reuschagen, and Tollak. At the same time, to the northwest of Allenstein, our forces successfully repulsed mounted enemy attacks targeted west toward Elbing.

On the lower Vistula, our forces overcame enemy resistance to secure the town of Marienwerder.

Around the town of Torun (Torn), the Soviet forces were still bearing down on the German garrison encircled in the city.

To the northwest of the town of Bydgoszcz (Bromberg), our forces secured the towns of Linde and Krojanke and over 50 other settlements in German Pommern, including such important points as Ruden, Kleischin, Sakollnow, Schonfeld, and Borkendorf, and the railway stations of  Kujan, Wittenburg, and Schonfeld.

To the west of the town of Poznan, our forces, continuing their successful offensive, secured the German towns of Betsze, Tirschtiegel, Bomst, and Unruhstadt, and over 200 other settlements, including such important points as Stolzenberg, Prittisch, Gross Dammer, Gross Schmellen, and Kleinitz.

Around Poznan, the Soviet forces were still bearing down on the German force encircled in the city.

On January 29, to the west of Poznan, the forces of the First Belorussian Front seized 228 German aircraft on airfirelds and in Luftwaffe depots.

To the west and southwest of the town of Katovice, our forces advanced to take over more than 60 settlements, including such important points as  Reigersfeld, Kieferstedtel, Standorf, Wilcsa, Jegersfeld, and Krir.

On January 29, the forces of the First Ukrainian Front seized 55 German aircraft on aitfields.

In the Carpathians, our forces, continuing their successful offensive, secured the town of Zakopane and over 80 other settlements, including such important points as Liachovice, Zawoia, Lipnica, Jablonca, Witanowa, and Wichodna.

To the north and northwest of the town of Lucenec, our forces, on restricted mountainous and foresty terrain, secured over 100 settlements, including such important points as Gelpa, Muran, Tiszovec, Polgora, Dobrocs, Dietwjanska Guta, and Diwin.

In Budapest, our forces, bearing down on the enemy garrison encircled in Buda, the western part of the city, cleared the island of Margitsziget of the enemy and took over 130 blocks.

On January 29, our forces eliminated 74 German tanks on all fronts. The Soviet air and air defense forces downed 24 enemy aircraft.
