On October 4 in Yugoslavia and to the west of the town of VRASAC, our forces
took the towns and railroad stations of ALIBUNAR and VLADIMIROVAC, and the
settlements and railroad stations of DEBELJACA, CREPAJA, BANACKO KRALEVICEVO,
and BANACKO-NOVO SELO. To the southwest of the Romanian town of TURNU
SEVERIN, our forces advanced further and took the Yugoslav settlements of
STUUBIK, JASENICA, TOPLA, OSTRELI, BOR, BRESTOVAC, NIKOLICHEVO, ZVEZDAN, VELIK
IZVOR, GRLJANE, VRATARNICA, and the railroad stations of BRESTOVAC and
VRATARNICA. Our forces joined the People’s Liberation Army of Yugoslavia in an
assault on the German forces to the west of NEGOTIN. Reconnaissance
operations and local fighting were reported elsewhere on the front. On
October 3, the Soviet Air Force downed five enemy
aircraft.
