On March 5, the offensive of the Red Army southwest of the city of Königsberg resulted in capturing the settlements of Korschelken, Kumgarben, Benkenwalde, Strauben and Hirschfeld.
South and southwest of the city of Danzig, the Red Army drove the enemy out of the towns of Wiesenwald, Lubichow, Studzenic, Gurki, Leszno, Kruschin, Lipnica and Worziskowo.

On March 4, the Red Army fought southeast of Königsberg to defeat the East Prussian enemy grouping, during which it took the settlements of Konradswalde, Wesselshofen, Sperwinen, Pellien, Hasselpusch, Klein Lutkenfurst, Hochenfurst, Blumberg, Kirschdorf and Klopchen.
