On September 27 to the west and northwest of the town of PJARNU (PERNOV), our forces continued wiping separate enemy groups out of the western coast of Estonia, securing the island of VORMI SAAR.
On their way to RIGA, our forces, continuing their offensive, secured over 200 settlements, including SKRODELI, DUKTE, SKULTE, ZIEDINI, VIDRIZI, STRAUPE, LIGATNE, NITAURE, GARSAS, VATRANE, TIMSENI, KAJBALA, and railroad stations of LADE, INTAE, SKULTE, JERITI, LIGATNE, JUMPRAVA, KAJBALA, and VATRANE.
To the south and southeast of the town of SANOK, our forces fought relentlessly on mountainous and forest-clad terrain to take over several settlements, including SZCZERBANOWKA, ZUBRACZE, ROSTOKI GURNE, USTSZIKI GURNE, VOLOSATE, TAR-NAVA, and ILNIK.
Elsewhere on the front reconnaissance operations and local combat engagements went on.
On September 26 our forces destroyed 10 German tanks. The Soviet air and air defense forces downed 7 enemy aircraft.
