On September 15 to the north of PRAGUE, our forces together with 1st Polish
Army advanced into heavy enemy defenses and took over the following settlements:
RYNIA, BIALOBZEGI, ALEXANDROW, IZABELIN, STANISLAWOW, CZARNA STRUGA, MARKI,
GRODZISK, BIALOLENKA, ANNOPOL, and TARGOWEK. To the south of the town of
SANOK, our forces took over the town of LISKO and the following settlements:
PLONNE, BRZOZOWEC, LUKOWE, DZIURDZIOW, GOCZEW, UGERCE, RUDENKA, BEZMICHOVA, and
the railroad station of UGERCE. In North Transylvania, our forces, together
with the Romanian Army, took over the town and railroad station of TOPLITA, and
secured over 40 other settlements, including such important points as SOVATA,
SIKLOD, KIBED, MAGYAROSY, MAKFALVA, VADAS, HAVADTE, BORDOSIU and railroad
stations of SOVATA, KIBED, CIOC, and ERDESENTGYERGY. Elsewhere on the front
reconnaissance operations and local combat engagements went on. On September
14 our forces destroyed 110 German tanks on all fronts. The Soviet air and air
defense forces downed 72 enemy aircraft.
