On September 26 to the southwest of the city of TALLINN, our forces were
wiping separate enemy groups out of the western coast of Estonia, securing over
200 settlements, including KLOGA-RAND, KURKSE, ALLIKLEPA, ROZLEPA, LINNAMAE,
RIDALA, TURU, PUISE, HAESKA, MARTNA, SILLA, LAJKKUL, MIHKLI, and railroad
stations of RIZIPERE, ELAMMA, RISTI, TAEBLA, PALIVERE, VIGALA, and ROTSI. On
their way to RIGA, our forces, continuing their offensive, took over the towns
of AINAZI, SALACGRIVA, ALOA, LIMBAZI, CESIS, and secured over 300 other
settlements, including SVINCIEMS, ASTERE, UMURGA, STALBE, AUCIEMS, SERMUKSI,
JAUNPILS, MADLIENA and railroad stations of ALOA, AUSEKLIS, PUITELE, PALE,
STAICELE, ZONEPE, AINAZI, CESIS, RAMULI, and AMATA. To the south and
southeast of the town of SANOK, our forces, defying enemy resistance and
fortifications on mountainous and forest-clad terrain, secured the city and the
railroad station of TURKA - an administrative center of the DROGOBYCH Region, -
the settlements of RADOSZICE, OSLAWICA, SMOLNIK, CARYNSKE, BEREZKI, DIDEVA,
BOBERKA, JASENICA-ZAMKOWA, and IAWORA. Elsewhere on the front reconnaissance
operations and local combat engagements went on. On September 25 the Soviet
air and air defense forces downed 49 enemy aircraft.
